I thought I would just post a few pics of my stainless steel maniflow manifold.
I used thermotec exhaust wrap to try to keep the temperatures down in the engine bay. I chose a stainless manifold for longlivity....ha!
I noticed that it was blowing at the top where the 2 pipes join, so I took it off and I was horrified by the result!
I rang maniflow to ask it they could mend it, well they said that they do not recommend fitting the wrap because it puts the metal through huge heats (white hot!) and can bend out of shape. I couldnt believe how bent it is! It also brings out the carbon in the metal making it brittle and liable to cracking. So now its usless!
Before my stainless one I had a mild steel one wrapped and they rusted and broke within a year! That is why I bought a stainless one.
Maniflow recommend if you want to cut the heat, to use a company called camcoat click here but its expenisve but they coat the manifold in ceramic coating inside and out. Costs around £100.
Anyway, heres the pics, enjoy.
