Right this is my 87 Advantage that I bought for the princely sum of £700.. yes £700 absolute bargain! The boy had originally taken the car off the road to Turbo it, but unfortunately (or fortunately if your me) his tools were stolen from his garage and with a child on the way he neither had the funds or time to complete it.. Plus he threw in all the turbo goodies :withstupid: It has a 1340 race built engine, with a straight cut gearbox.. apparently..

This is my car at Singleton in 2010 before I owned it

Picked it up on March the 15th of this year, cost me £80 to have it brought back on the back of a low loader from Swansea around 26 miles away, which isnt too bad. Mammy paid anyway :)

So as it was delivered, the guy left it on his lorry overnight as he was in a rush..

Engine wasnt bolted in so needed to bolt it back it and wire it up etc..

The Mr Jones came back to do some work for me :withstupid:
Had him take parts of the loom off my old Mini and to put on the new one to keep it colour coded so easier to fault find

Then it was Driveshafts in, balljoints done up, engine bolted in, starter motor changed, manifolds and carb test fitted, and she fired up wooo! Also the suspension cone/trumpet fixed, clutch slave bracket swaped and slave fitted, and engine wiring finished off.

I wired up a boot light

And some footwell LED's

Been meaning to get round to it for ages.. Yeah, although the last mini I bought for a grand turned out to be a right bodged rot box, with rust fillered and fibreglassed over, I've probably recouped around 500-600 selling the parts off it so I've got a good mini for around 1200 and plenty of spares, & I learned alot stripping the old one.. and would always look a Mini over for rust really well..
