Well on Saturday night i caught 2 lads trying to break into my mini, they did'nt manage to get in, as i caught them red handed
the rest is....well lets just say they got it big style. Anyway the thing is i got myself two nice holes in my doors now plus the
drivers door won't open with the keys so i was wondering what do you all think i should do about repairing the doors, go
through my insurance or sort the doors out myself, obviously it would be easier to go through the insurance but i'm thinking
would it be worth it just for two holes and knackering up my no claims, adviced much sort after. Gaz

You could see how much it is to get it repaired and if you can afford it, pay for it without going through the insurance

Well if you're handy or can get them sorted out at reasonable money then sort it out yourself?

The drivers door probably just needs getting the latch reattached. You just need to get the door trim panel off to get in there.

If the skins are a bit shabby round the bottom might pay you to reskin.

You should've found out who they were, and simply make them pay.
Why should you have to pay for someone elses damage?

Is a photo possible? Hard to figure how they holed the doors with Mini locks being in the handle. Maybe you could hide them with a body stripe or badge to save a respray?

Thanks for the replys guys, i think i'll get the doors re-skimmed, strange thing is on the way home tonight a guy in the
traffic next to me started talking to me about mini's, saying he had a clubman estate and even stranger he lives on the
same street as me and to top it all off he's a welder, he told me to pop round so i think i will see if he can sort it out. Oh and
my claw hammer needs cleaning now bits of bone from a right hand will make it rust.......won't it?
