Hi peeps,

I saw a mini on the back of a recovery truck yesterday heading towards Weymouth on A354....does anyone know who owns it?
It looked like an Austin City E, sky blue paintwork, with dark blue swirls down each rear wing, chrome mini lites, and I think it was a C reg. well with what was left of the number plate!

The mini itself looked like it had been hit head on, certainly by a bigger vehicle! The whole of the front of the car was buckled in, the seams and A pannels looked like they were shot etc, windscreen cracked and spintered...

Someone has really duffed her up bad! Gutted to see another Mini beaten up...so many lately.

Didn't really want to say anything, as I know it would really upset a lot of people, but a couple of months ago, I was driving in Henrietta down a small country lane, and I came accross a mini on the side of the road that had been torched! An old 68'Morris too! Why why why!!!

All very well smacking up your min min if its an accident, but why would you torch it!!

let me tell you. I bought Elsie for Becky in Aug 2007. Had her restored . gave her to becky Sept 08 . Crash Nov 08.

I have been advised to scrap Elsie.

I CANNOT DO IT !!

the car is like our family! I cannot bear to see her in that state. Becky cannot scrap her! She is begging me not to let her go!.....i know, i know, its a car...

She will be well soon...

I imagine that car was stolen. and I dread to think how the owners felt.

It's the time of year... There are more crashes in general when the roads get wet and Minis are somewhat prone to the odd skid and slide if you're not too careful >_<

Ya, it is the time of the year. Just had one of our club members, a couple weeks back, get hit by a small Mercedes Suv going about 50 mph while in his mini. He was at a dead stop in traffic. The fuel tank ended up spilling into contents inside the car and something shorted, causing the whole car to go up in flames. Thankfully he came out alive. Be safe out there!
