I was thinking of breathing new life into it but in the process giving it some more civilized road manners.
It will go in my clubby estate. The current 998 is at end of life.
The question is how far do I go before I might as well just start again.
The spec as it stands before rebuild is 73.5 block, omega v wedge pistons, 286 cam, lightened balanced wedged and cross drilled crank, s rods, aldon yellow dizzy with aldon igniter, stage 4 head, full 1.5 roller rockers, maniflow lcb and twin box, 1.75 hif su, k&n cone, hi cap oil pump, oil cooler, 4 core rad, facet electric fuel pump, std rebuilt box with centre oil pipe, 3.44 diff.
The first job is to install a friendlier cam. I was thinking sw5 instead of 286.
I'd like to reduce noise too. Remove k&n cone but install what in it's place ? Fit exhaust wrap.
Next steps (or other suggestions).
