Available in 2010 and 2000 quid, according to Top Gear, looks pretty cool don't you think! I'm sure a lot of you will be skeptical, but these type of things may well be the solution for commuting in big cities, well at least a much option than congestion charging!
What do you think?

These silly designs have been around for ages, it's still to expensive and cumbersome to become practical, where are you going to park it and keep it? What you going to do with steps? curbs? rainy days?

Clive Sinclair's ickle mobile:

Segway

Toyota ireal

All fun toys for those who can afford & don't mind what other people think, but I doubt it'll ever be mass marketed or accepted. Wouldn't mind a play though!

The Segway hasn't done toooo badly though, not mass market, but I bet its still a viable business venture.
They are selling, yes. Wiki:
In 2003 the company sold 6,000 units, and by September 2006 approximately 23,500 had been sold.[8] In May 2006, Segway Inc. reported that the city of Chicago had signed a five-year, $580,000 contract to purchase up to 100 Segway GTs, associated accessories, replacement parts and service, for use in several city departments, including Police, Fire, Airport Operations and Emergency Management. It was the largest municipal contract the company had signed.[10]
Personally I think this latest thing from Toyota is merely showing what they can do, an engineering and marketing exercise.
Well if I lose the use of my legs, I might fancy one of them, rather than a CF wheelchair.
