Hi all,

My friend has recently bought a 96' mayfair, 1275 spi. It currently idles at 2,000RPM, what should it be idling at? Im guessing in the region of about 900? Where can I adjust the idle to bring the idle down.

As you can tell, I'm fairly lost when it comes down to the SPi, so any diagrams of 'what does what' would be much appreciated.

On another note; the petrol tank leaks like bug*ery from the 'sensor disc'; its a constant drip. - are they the same as the old petrol tanks, cork gasket and tap the lugs with a hammer?

Thanks in advance, Tom

follow the Haynes and adjust your throttle cable along with the lost motion gap....... Then check all your vacuum tubes from the back of the throttle body to the ECU via the oil trap box on the left of the bulkhead as you look at it. when you have done this Id report back before any further suggestions. Chances are its one or both of the above........

hope this helps

All of the vacuum pipes seem to be okay, the accelerator cable has now been set, got rid of the play.

Does this look right to you? The air filter wont go back on, the green plug fouls on one of the inlets...

Inside of the air filter is a blue connection with 'AC' on it, howeer there is nothing to conect to it, is that right?
