Hi all,

My sisters Spi mini has a few inline fuses which tend to be rather temperamental.

I'd like to replace them with a neat little blade-type fuse box.

Does anyone know where I could buy a suitable fuse box which would be a straightforward replacment?

I don't want a fuse box with 30 fuse spaces or anything like that.

Ed.

Vehicle wiring products, Polevolt, Autosparks - all online Polevolt have a minimum order charge.

by the way blade fuses are rated differently to glass ones - info on those sites.

The Lucas website has a conversion chart,... however there has been an argument on here before about whether they are rated differently, some people on here are running their blade fuses with the same Number rating as the glass fuse type with no problems (myself included on my last mini) And some people are running the converted values with no problems.

so who's right?

Whoever's car hasn't caught fire >_<

I always get it the wrong way round, isn't it the glass 'ns are rated continuous 'n blades to blow? Having a fuse that blows early may just be inconvenient - t'other way round may require a fire extinguisher.

I replaced mine about a month ago, someone might know where to get this since I got this part in the U.S. But it's a direct fit, works like it should. I would be curious to know what number fuses people replaced it with, top to bottom.

I'm guessing that one of these is what I'm looking for?

Yup, and you may be able to pick them up cheaper on eBay. I used to sell these on the forum, used to buy them in at something daft like 79p each when they sell on eBay for a few quid each... I bought in bulk though. It might be worth your while buying 10 at 79p each and flogging the other 9 on ebay though! PM me if you want details of the supplier

Im tempted to start that business up again (I only sold the stock off because I thought I was moving house, turns out I haven't)...

I'd be able to do 6 way fuseboxes for £5-6 posted with your choice of fuses, would anyone be interested? sorry going off topic...

fuse boxes of this kind can be found for as little as 2 quid - just make the effort and look. I now have 3 on roofless and all is good.

I know but a quick search on ebay found them ranging from £5/£6 to £10 plus postage!

I can get the 6 way for £1 each >_<
