The thing about FB and CF parts is that the moulds are usually pretty inaccurate and don't have much flex to them either.
Anyway, with my miglias i have to spend about 7 hours, sanding them to the shape of the car.
Once i had cut the slot in the front ones to clear the seam i just held them against the car and pushed them in, like the would be once fitted. This reveals where any high spots are which prevent the rest of the arch fitting flush. I then just marked these bits with masking tape, sanding a few mm off and went back and tryed them again.
I just did this process until they were about as good fit as there were going to get. I was pretty happy with how they came out.

I spent a full day sitting on a stool sanding

But yeah - A good thing to do is to by some thin rubber trim to go on the arch. I got some from a show and superglued it along each arch and this helps cover any small 1-2mm gaps.

Hold it roughly in place and then get somebody to hold a perm marker flat against the bodywork and run it along the edge of the arch (so that the tip of the marker is 90 degrees to the arch) this should highlight where most of the material needs to be removed.
Remove the excess mterial gradually and keep checking to see how it fits.
