i have come across this guide on a mini forum here in Sweden and i thought i would translate it and post it here for you all to look at hope it helps

This is what the mechanism looks like removed from the donor SAAB 9000

Posted Image

Remove the motor from the rest of the mechanism and you will see this plastic bit that fits perfectly over the mini winder handle fitment.

Posted Image

then take the plastic bit and drill 3 3mm holes don't forget to counter sink them otherwise it will catch on the motor

Posted Image

next do the same to the mechanism on the mini fitment and tap them to M3

Posted Image

next you can screw the plastic in to place remember to use short bolts so that they don't stick through too much

Posted Image

put back the rubber dampers that needed to be removed to get to drill the holes keep track of these as they are good at playing hide and seek

Posted Image

next drill three holes for the motor to attach to

Posted Image

now you can take some threaded bar and fasten it to the winder mechanism like so

Posted Image

align all the pins so that they go in the gaps between the rubber dampers and tighten the nuts up to hold the motor in to place

Posted Image

and that's all there is to it

a big thank you to elgringo from www.hundkoja.com for this guide

hope it is of some help to someone

Looks nice and simples to fit, going to need some pretty chunky door cards though!

I have done something very similar. It doesn't get in the way as much as you'd expect. Its really the same as chucking a big speaker enclosure. Once you get used to it or make a door card to fit over it it won't be too bad.

My effort

It is a damn site cheaper than the kits you can get. It takes some effort to figure it all out but you get some great satisfaction watching it all work in the end!
