Whats easier to do

take engine out of one mini and put in another or remove whole subframe and swap them

my mini convertable i just got is going to be scrapped but the engine is a new recon and my clubby needs an engine so i was thinking i could make use of it

Think what hes asking is wether its easier to change the engine by keeping it on the subframe and swapping the frames or by removing each engine and dropping them in....

i think :ermm:

is there a difference between subframes they are both non servo minis and look the same and both are pretty new by the look of it

only difference is the clubby has hilo thingys fitted to it

I have just changed the engine on Jamie1991's mini, i took it out the top way rather than drop the sub frame, it was a piece of cake and only took 5 hours out and in, I think looking at the sub frame option would have taken a lot longer.
