Just a quick question, is there any difference in the size of a 1275 airfilter housing and a 998 one?

Just my 1275 has what i beleive is a one from a 998 (HS4 carb) whereas my car is running a 1275 with the HIF44 carb and just wondering if the cutouts that sit against the carb elbow different sizes between the 2 different types?

If the 1275 is bigger and less restrictive and gives a bit of a boost in performance (minimal i know) then i'll fit one of those (they look a fair bit bigger than the 998 ones)

I dont think you'll have any sort of improvement replacing the hs4 air filter casing for a hif38 casing.
Drill holes under the casing, if you havent done it before:
