as above, im thinking about getting the full floor replaced. is it a hard task even for a bodyshop?

its just a square pannel after all 
but seriously doing a whole floor becomes a problem as it takes so much strength out of the shell that you need to support the rest of it while it is out, when i did mine i opted for half floors, the come with the sills pre attached and were quite simple with the car stripped out plus you still have half the floor/transmission tunnel keeping the rest of the car from twisting.

Not a problem and supposed to be only a little bit more difficult than replacing it one side at a time, though I've only replaced the full floor so I'm not one to judge. My car needed two front floor sections and a little repair here and there. If I remember correctly the difference in price between two front repair sections and a whole floor was only £30-40. The floor was replaced with the bare shell on a spit and this is probably the easiest way of working. You do need to brace the shell to prevent it twisting but you should check it's straight first as there's very little point in keeping a twisted shell twisted.

How easy it is depends on the rest of the car. Its a very easy job indeed for someone who can weld and has some common sense, if the shell is already stripped, but doing it on a built up and running car would be much more involved due to the need to strip the interior and difficulties turning the car over for access with engine, subframes, glass etc still in place. I wouldnt even consider trying it if i couldnt turn the car at least onto its sides, preferable right over onto its roof, or on a spit.
