Please help got a 1972 mini Clubman, stright cut gears lighten/balance orange clutch, and I tried taking it out the other day to enjoy some of this fine weather that we've been having after winter storage.

However I don't seam to be able to selected gears when the car is turning over, I physically can't get the car into gear!!!
I've read a few posts now and adujsted the return stop and bleed the clutch servo (where air did come out). The gear peddle does seam alot harder to depress now so thought this might of solved the problem started her up and now gears boo hoo >:)

I'm at a loss anyone please help or have any ideas as at this rate it be xmas by the time I figer it out and I will be putting her back into storage no summer fun for me!!!

Try a new arm.... not second hand or modified as most of these are modified incorrectly..... I think that you are not getting the correct movement in the system

Have someone look while you depress the clutch pedal and see if the clutch arm is actually moving. I had a Clutch Slave cylinder lock up on me and had similar symptoms.

Hi Thanks for the replies, the arm does move in and out when the clutch is pressed it didn't until I bleed the system today, thought that its a falier in the servo so was thinking about replacing that but the one I got is pretty new and seams to work. Keep the surgestions coming.

Could the clutch bve sezzed up any way of checking or freeing up

Thanks
