Please please tell me im just being a girl but i cant get the exhaust manifold out of my 1275 clubby!
You dont have to take bits of to get it out do you?
Ive took of the eng stabilizer above the bell housing out to try pulling the engine forward but it seems to be catching the drive shaft?
Ive never had this much chew taking a manifold off before??

Is it an LCB manifold? If it is, they can be a bit difficult, especially with the lower clamp on, as this hits the drive shaft or the gearbox casing. Take the lower clamp off. With them carb and inlet manifold off you can 'persuade' the pipes to come out. Do the single one first, then twist the 2-into-1 pipe as you withdraw it upwards.
I bolt my manifolds on with 5/16" x 1.25" long hex. head screws to make it easier to get things off rather than have those stupid studs in the head.

the standard 3 branch heap of poo! Ive took out the manifold studs as im changing them and still cant get it out! Ive got a 3-2-1 to go back on, sort of like a lcb but it goes into 1 instead of needing the Y piece?
It looks like the end of the manifolds had a bit welded on as its about a 2" link pipe so i might just cut it out but i want to be sure i can get the new one in? lol

Ahh - the original 3 branch manifold is actually quite good - but it does sound like someone has added on a section, and that's why it won't come out.

You want some penerating oil, big hammer, pry bar and alot patients.
They can be a real pain, but i found the standard cast manifold was blowing every week.
So we swaped it for a stage 1 kit and now the 998s got 56bhp at the flywheel
