Tried to start my 1964 austin mini today for the first time in 7 years and failed.
None of the spark plugs were sparking so we took the distributor cap off and there was also no spark between the points. What should i do next?
Also more worryingly there was a sudden leak of oil. Not really sure how to describe it, but where the dinamo is, the fan belt runs down from it onto a pulley. Near this pulley on the engine is where the leak came from (not 100 % sure where its actually came from). The oil leak was only for a second or two and then it stopped. Don't have a faintest idea whats going on.

Would be very greatful for some advice.

For a car that's been sleeping for 7 years - you are going to have to overhaul the whole ignition system. The oil leak will be the least of your worries.
