I have a 998cc mini with the basic arches on. i was wondering if there are any sports arches around that i will not have to cut away into the arch? or are all sports arches needed to be cut in?
and also, I have 12"'s on my mini, is it possible to get 12"'s which are wider? rather than cutting away into the arch just so i can fit 13"'s in?
cheers

The width of the wheels is mainly what makes the body modifications necessary due to the added width meaning they rub at the front of the arch when turning. For the most part any wheels over 5" wide will require body mods no mater what the diameter is, but it does depend on the offset of the wheel. It is usually only the front of the arch at the front that needs to be cut. Unless of course you want to lower the car by extreme amounts.
Fitting different arches has no bearing on whether you need to cut the bodywork it's only done to stop wheels rubbing.
Have a look on any of the mini parts suppliers they will have a range of wheels that you can go for also you can fit any arches you like aslong as they cover the wheels. So find a style that you like make sure everything is going to fit and work together then go for it >_<

Hope that helps
