What Mark?

i have a 1987 mayfair and i thought it was a mk3 but im wrong, what mark is it? becuase i have bought new seals for it and its not a mk3 lol

Should be mk4
read down that thread and you'll also see it can be a mark 5
depends what way you split the years of the cars up it would seem

Unfortunately that's a very old thread you've pulled up there and I'm afraid that what I wrote in it was certainly wrong, depending on what you mean by a mark. When the Heritage shells were first introuduced many people started referring to the MPi as a Mk5 because that's what they Heritage calling it. Most people have now gone back to the old original division of marks though and consider that Mk5 starts some time around the introduction of the pre-engaged starter or the brake servo. to be honest after Mk4 all the divisions become a bit vauge and it's rarely the best plan to think of your Mini as being a certain mark or type, just buy parts based on the year it was built.

What seals?
sorry i mean i have bought all round door seals, every seal eg door windows boot rear quarters etc...
but i have just double checked and the items say fits all minis and some say upto 1996 and some upto 1991 so im ok i think lol

Yes all the door and window seals will be fine.
