What Paint To Use Of Clutch Housing Etc...

Hi, I'm going to be painting my clutch housing and other bits while the engines out. I was just wondering what type of paint people recommend to use in these areas, ideally something hard wearing etc...

I used silver smooth hammerite as I happened to have some laying around for my gearbox. I used engine enamel on my transfer and clutch cover though. Both went on and look fine :thumbsup:

The silver aerosol paint for wheels seems to stick well. If you're particularly keen you could polish 'n lacquer it.

I think a goo slathering of etch primer would help too - and scotchbrite it all to key the surface.

we did this with a gearbox last week ( when I say we I mean cookie ) and its stuck pretty good - used high temp laquer as a final protective coat. :thumbsup:
