right, so my mini was bloowing blue smoke the other week so i took the head off and noticed that the valve seals were screwed so i changed them and it was fine for about a week. got out in it this morning and the blue smoke has returned, its strangwe because at low revs (about 2000-2500) and strain. but anywhere after this and it just bellows out. the engine is basically brand new and ive run it in like a fairy for about 600 miles. the engine has always had enough oil and enough oil in the top of the carb, enough coolant and the head gaskett was changed when i sorted the head. the valves were re seated with the grinding paste. there is nothing wronge with the pistons and cylinders as my brother checked them for play and the cylinders for bits missing and they are all fine. the only thing wronge is that i havnt set up the carb properly but i cant see why i would get blue smoke from this. please i need help because this car is just getting on my nerves now. thanks in advance. adrian

Have you checked the crancase breather?

Make sure ur breathers arent blocked with gunk. Then connect them up to the carb with good bore piping. (Not tiny crap pipes) David Vizard states that having the breathers rigged up this way relieves engine pressure, and can stop even the most worn bores, valve seats etc leaking oil into the combustion chamber.
It even stops most oil leaks. Ive not got a gearbox selector leak jobby on mine, and since ive connected the breather system properly its not dripped a drop.
It should stop ur smoking, but Id still try and figure out whats causing it. 1st breathers.... then likely valve guides, third, piston rings, then, bores are buggered

Sounds like worn valve guides or piston rings, I would go with the guides first of all.
