i've been docked a days wages from the recreation centre i work at! >:) because i left the heating on overnight! What angers me is that my colleagues repeatedly get away with much more severe negligence and yet i'm now losing £40 for a minor mistake, despite doing a great job 99% of the time!

little things like this just ruin my day.

That's hilarious, because i was just about to post my intention of doing so, then saw you posted the same thing.

I'm doing the bare minimum today. No volunteering to scrub the dishwasher of limescale or empty out the bins  the manager can kiss my backside.

I'm a casual part-timer, so no contract to speak of. No sick pay, no first aid training... :)

you should think yourself lucky, i work as a service engineer and someone one night backed into the van when it was parked up in a reasonable place.
about 3 months after this happened i realise he took all the money off my wage for the repairs (£392.40), obviously i wasnt happy so went into work and kicked up a fuss for the whole day about it. very nearly sold the van to jippo's to get the money back
after this entire day we had a meeting and he told me the money would be back in my bank as i couldnt afford to pay (and shouldnt have to) but then also told me i would be having a payrise

now i realise that my payrise hasnt come and i went away. while ive been in austria my account went overdrawn because i thought i got paid more and ive been charged £5 a day

guess who will be paying for the bank charges when i go into work tomoro
