does everyone get a sooty exhaust? i seem to be having to clean mine a lot, any ways to stop this happening as much

I think this would suggest your engine is running too rich. Check if your spark plugs are covered in the same black soot. If so, you need to weaken the mixture.

An exhaust will always get sooty at some point, if you want to keep it clean, dont drive the car :(.

yeah mine does its running a bit rich, leaves a nice bit of soot on the drive too haha.
