Just trying to gauge feeling here.

Would it be sacrilege to reduce a sportspack mini down to 12s?

I'm not sure if I like these 13 inch tractor wheels

Book,

After all it is your Mini...

It has been done before, do you not like the sportspack wheels? Could always go for another set of 13's but different ones this time...?

I know, i just didn't know if the sportspack was one of those types you shouldn't mess with for originality purposes, but if it isn't that makes me feel better.

Not sure how wide the 12's would need to be to fill sportpacks? And you may need some hi-los aswell to drop the height a bit using 12's?

the arches were going to do one aswell :( i don't like them either.

i love everything else, just not the wheels or the arches. 12s and group 2s would suit me.

You only just got it Jim, give it a chance mate :(

What you not liking, the looks or the way it drives?

Don't forget that your front wings will have had the arches cut bigger to stop the 13s from catching on full lock. Don't know how this would affect fitting group 2s.

Must admit though, I reckon 10s with group 2s are the best look.

i know, i know. i was hoping to sneak this thread past you :(

i'd say it's 90% the way it drives and 10% the looks.

i'm not DEFINITELY going to do it, because there's currently mitigating circumstances and i don't want to change it if i don't need to

1) the crash has serious affected my nerve and confidence whenever i'm not going in a straight line (which is a particlar pain because that's the best bit)
2) the 'normal' difference between 13s and 12s
3) the steering is 'off' at the moment anyway so i know it's not right. maybe i'll feel better after it's fixed

hopefully #3 is the biggest problem, #1 will get better once #3 is sorted and i'm left with #2 not being that bad.

i just don't have confidence in the car at the moment and i'm not enjoying driving it

my opinion is that 13's are too big on a mini and 12's are just right(and the drive is a bit too heavy in my opinion), i'd say put on 12's with the sportspack arches as it the drive thats having more effect
