hi i am wondering what sound proofing is best i was thinking of aqua seal tape as i have some i have already painted the floor in a thick coat of enamel paint to stop it rusting

I heard good things about Edead, so i bought some but have not got to the stage of my build of fitting it yet. Its thin sheets which i guess need layering?

Since you've posted in the ICE section I assume you want some quality stuff, but just in case you're not too bothered about the physical properties of all the different (some expensive) sound-proofing-deadening material ...

Some people find cheaper B&Q flashing (foil+ bitumen) quite ok for the floor. :)

Theres loads of topics on sound proofing with lots of different ideas being suggested, might be worth having a look through some of them, but lots of people do say that the flashing tape is good (like teapot suggested)
