1987 1275 cc hi erveryone could someone shed some light on a problem with wiring i found on my newly purchased mini on drivers side inner wing found burnt out wiring !!! large brown wire from looking at it factory crimp splits in to three traced one to fuses one to inline fuse which left small brown wire only have about six inchs of cable this came out of crimp but cant trace where it went. loom is all checked right back in to dash so was thinking was this an aux wire left in the loom ? only found this as when driving along and switch side lights on it starts missing but not convinced this is causing problem just one ive found while looking any help would be great |

You really need a ciruit diagram and a circuit tester to deal with electrics. It's hard to help with just a description to go on.
Get the Haynes Manual and trace each wire through. What I do when I have a wiring nightmare is to photocopy the Haynes then trace each wire through and mark it in red on the diagram. Then it becomes a logical and progressive job to sort it all out. |
