Hi all,
I saw some topics on how to refit the windscreen, but nothing on how to remove it. Do I need a special tool? Do I push it out or push it in? I'm prety scared at doing this, I feel like it may end up with a big cracking sound... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cry.gif) Thanks! |

when i did mine i just removed the black or chrome filler, lifted the rubber of the paint just incase it had stuck to it, sat in the seat and gave it a little push with my foot on the top edge and out it came,
the first windscreen i pushed out this way, i gave to hard a push and it shot across the garage floor |

you will want a new rubber anyway unless you like wet foot wells |

Okay, thanks a lot for the quick answers! I think I'll try to cut it. For the refitting later, I'll ask the bodyshop to do it after the full respray...

Be careful though, I ended putting my old rubber back in because the fit of the new one was really poor.
As everyone says though, take the filler strip out, then push the glass out from the inside. I found pushing the rubber up worked best (closing the gap where the filler strip goes) Just be careful and do it sloooowly! |

It doesn't take much effort to remove after the filler strip is removed. Go round the seal lifting the edge away from the glass before you start using plastic bicycle tyre levers. |

Might help to have another person to help.....don't want to push it out from the inside only to see it slide down a wing and break!!!
