i had an accident on my bike friday(moped) causing severe damage and small injuries the bike is a brand new moped which i have owned for 4 weeks

the cause of the accident was valve came completely out of the rim on the front wheel an yes the bike has a 12 month warranty the problem is how do i prove this was the cause of the accident? the seal on the sidewall of the tyre is not broken but will that be good enough?

damage is *handlebar, headlight, side, bottom side, foot plate fuel tank cover plastics smashed
also the mirror, centre stand, side stand, seat lock and left side brake lever is broken
other damage is my helmet and gloves(melted from sliding)

does anyone know of a moped breakers? im after the restrictior ring on the belt as mine has gone from under the seat during the accident

the valve is the second defect since i have owned the bike the first was a warped disc on the front

any help would be great

Glad your ok.If the valve shot out flat fast.No hope.Take pictures of the valve they might not have screwed it in tight on build and the threads inside if they are crossed it will help you .

cheers guys

the valve came out of the wheel completely ,the valve insert did not come out

the whole valve(metal and rubber) came out

they arnt putting up much of a fight as they have taken the bike and are going towards buying a brand new one( AGAIN !) but that isent confirmed yet as they still seem like they want it to go to court

the bike is a british one i think

Hope all goes well. Tell them you might go to the local News Pap.
Make sure you buy a good make.It will pay of safe, easy parts and resale future value.
Try and get a bit fast for a China one when its 3 years old.
