i have removed the front wheels from my 93' cooper and on inspecting the brake discs have discovered they are pitted around the edges about a quarter of an inch in, can these be cleaned up in any way or would they have to be machined smooth or replaced altogether?...thanks dob

I usually go by the amount of lip thats on the edge of the disk. Big lip means they need replacing.
