I have a bog standard 1988 998cc City E with a verto clutch. The bite point is VERY high, and when I bought the car 2 years ago I assumed it had almost no friction plate left, and would slip very soon. 2 years and 10k miles later, it still doesnt slip! I hate taking things apart when they still work, so is there any external adjustment I can do to move the bite point further into the travel of the pedal? Everything works fine, but the clutch only has any effect in the top inch of pedal travel!
I did try a search of this forum, but came back with nothing relevent. Thanks! |
