I have always thought an Acrylic sunvisor would be a cool idea and I have seen a few threads on here with people trying it and I thought it was about time i pulled my finger out and gave it ago. But instead of a simple shape i thought i would try something a bit different.

This is a quick test out of clear Acrylic. When I do make them for real I am going to be using some dark tinted acrylic which should have some light stopping potential but if it is not enough then I am thinking about using some Window tinting stuff on the back.

and if you bond Ikea 12V LED striplight to the top edge you can have this kind of funkyness at the flick of a switch :)

I made these last year, and the LED lights illuminate the laser cut logo perimeter.

you can nsee a similar effect here - again done with Ikea striplights bonded to the edge of the acrylic with Chloroform. :)

I've got some green ones on my other Cooper Sport and they are great!! They stop the sun but you can still see through them too :) Just like a pair of sunglasses really!
