Replacing Discs

Model: Mayfair
Year: 1989

my disc brakes have started to rust slightly so i am considering replacing them and also putting in new pads and was wondering if there is anything particular difficult about taking the discs out or anything i need too consider or should i just get a garage too do it

It's in the FAQ, you should always have a look there first. Though alot of them are missing photos and are no good.

rusty discs do not necessarily mean in need of replacement... the bit that the pad runs on is the most important bit, and if thats rusty then the pads will clean it up in 2 miles of driving. Disc run out and thickness should be inspected to form a decision of replacement. Do your brakes work ok? Are you experiencing any wobble from heavy braking that could indicate warped discs?

yer i do try and use the search tool but it never seems to bring back anything too good

the brakes do work fine its just ive bought some new discs cheap off a friend and as im replacing the pads i thought i might aswell whack new discs on if ive got a brand new pair
