i amin the middle of fitting a new subframe, after having several rot problems. i have had some replacement heelboard panels welded into place after the captive nuts broke in the old ones. anyway, i have tried fitting the heelboard bolts and found that one of the captive nuts has been welded slighty off centre from the hole. the bolt wont physocally fit because of the hole is slightly covered. anyone got any ideas on what i can do?
cheers >_<

Reweld it ? Or - drill and tap it if secure enough. Was the new heel board not fitted with the subframe as a 'jig' for location ?

Loosely bolt the rear of the subframe then line up the front.

If you have a Dremel or a rotary file then carefully open up the hole in the heel board until you can get the bolt in.
