[Minigirlracer]

Went to take my mini to mot this afternoon.....

First of all -

CLUTCH?
This was being a right pig. It hardly came up and you had to pull it up with your foot to make it come all the way back up. It was changing gear okay, no grinding or nothing but it was sometimes slipping. Will this improve the more I use it as its been stood up for months and months or is there anything I can do?

WHIRRING NOISE?
We changed the front drums to discs and now theres a really loud whirring noise when you go along. The faster you go, the louder it gets. Any ideas what this could be? Its mainly on the left hand side of the car.

HAZZARDS?
My hazzards were playing up so I got a brand new switch. Put that on and...zilch.... Nothing. Any ideas?

Am soooooo cheesed off as was soooo looking forwards to getting it back on the road this weekend.... Minis!!!! Who'd have them!!!! lol

(Not to mention - it didnt even go through MOT as when I got there the handbrake braket that holds the cable on snapped)

The pedal is likely to be the pedal itself as it's not actually connected to the hydraulics, it just pushes on the piston. What year's the car, remove the hazard flasher (if there is one) from under the bonnet and bridge the terminals of the holder with a bit off wire, the lights should illuminate but not flash if the flasher is to blame.

whurring noise could be a wheel bearing, ive had one go and what u describe sound like what i heard when mine went, hope this helps

Yeah its loads louder than the usual mini noise so will have a look tomorrow - thanks
