Ive got a 1275 spi engine and im rebuilding it with uprated parts, ive taken out my camshaft and timing gears and put a new kent cam in last night but it says something about woodruff keys for the camshaft and the crankshaft? but i didnt find anything when i took it out?
Can anyone help?

I think you need to fit one to ensure your crank/cam are aligned right.

If you dont know about them, then you haven't removed them, they are the locating slots for your timing gears, one on the crank, one on the cam, you can buy offset keys to alter your cam timing, but if your running vernier adjustable gears then these offset keys are not needed, as you adjust the timing with the vernier.

yeah i dont think i have removed them, im sure i would have seen them if i had wouldnt i?? all ive removed from that area is the camshaft and followers and the simplex timing to get to the camshaft, plus im changing that to duplex timing, i think i already spoke to you about that aswell
