Hi
Just finished an engine rebuild on our Mini 998cc. Everything is working perfectly with upgraded Stage 1 kit etc but when we went to put it into gear there was no movement on the clutch. The clutch lever is working fine - i.e into the clutch housing there lever is being pushed correctly.
What could it be - we built it back exactly right (I hope).
Is the a way to get to the clutch without taking the whole engine out again? So cheesed off at the moment as it was ready to go......(its my son's and he was so excited to get going again after 3 months in the garage)
Any help or a miracle welcome
cheers

This forum is great - just did a search and followed the instructions, putting the front up on axle stands, putting it into gear and braking hard. Did that a few time and put it back down on the ground and the clutch works again. IT was slipping a little so I readjusted the nut keeping the clutch lever out and it is back to normal.
Now for the road test........
Stage 1 exhaust sounds very loud ;o)
