hey all, i have a 1989 minii city e

it has recently had spotlights and radio fitted etc, since it has been back on the road the battery keeps going flat!

i have no clue whats the problem, sooo please could you help :)

first guess would be the radio left on a constant live, was it hardwired into the car? i had my one fitted (changing from a standard cassette player, so needed to be hard-wired) and was put on a constant live so as to flash so it looked like it was in the alarm system. may be a bad case of that.

go halfruads and get battery tested :) then work from there your battery might be dead, and will keep dyin :)

First check the ignition warning light on the dash (red light on bottom right of fuel/temp dial). It should illuminate when the ignition is switched on and go out immediately when the engine starts. If this doesn't happen then it points towards there being a charging problem, if it lights up and then goes out as described then either your battery is the problem or you are somehow draining it.
