My partner has a F reg 1989 , 998 cc mini city auto and the other night some one opened the bonnet and stole the HT leads and the tube that does the advance retard and a bit of the wiring,
(I believe this was a malicious attempt to sabotage her car rather than kids or someone that needed a set of leads)
I have only the red wire poking out of the dizzy and the dizzy is also been wrenched loose I have a rough idea of how to sort the problem and a diagram of how the leads go ,
I have a new set of leads , what I would like to know or have is an idea or a picture of what should be there under the bonnet in the way of ignition wiring?
Also what is the best way of prevention this happening again ? what is a good way to lock the bonnet down other than a hasp and staple.
any guidence greatfully received
Many thanks

(attachment added) It is the old version but maybe of some help pg113 for ignition and wiring diagrams at the end.
If your dizzy and coil are knackered beyond repair, I have both that I have removed from my 998 auto that I was going to list in the classifieds for sale that I'll sell for a reasonable fee if you need be.
