Hey Everyone,

I'm currently studying Product Design at A2 level at college, and for my coursework project I have decided to create a centre console for the Mini. Unlike centre consoles that are currently on the market, I wish to make one which has many luxury features, but to decide how I will go about designing it, I need a specification in which I am going to build on. As mini enthusiasts, I should be grateful if could help me by filling in the small questionaire as it will help me get an idea what features my target audience would like in their luxurious console.

I think the "what have you got?" questions are the most useful so you can design a console that fits and matches.

Price would depend on features, minimise the cost of the actual console.

I'd chuck in some questions about about products & accessories that punters might already own.

Din or double din Head unit; sat nav; model of mobile phone/Ipod (for connectivity/ charger sockets etc); do they smoke in their car.....

Think I'd opt for a moulding with inset panel(s) that can be matched to the interior: walnut, brushed alloy etc. It'd also let you laser cut all the fiddly bits for a neater job.
