Hi people... I would love to find out more about a mini I saw this morning!!!

I drive from Milton Keynes to Birmingham every day for work... now on the A508, heading towards the M1 J15 at 5.50 am I had a little play with a mini.

Now, my car is not slow, it has just over 400Bhp, and is a TOTB winner... and I could not keep up with it!
I have raced a Ferrari 550 and won
I have raced a Ferrari 355 and won

Mini... lost!!! What the hell is it!! It looks pretty standard, it was a Mini 30 (remember the special edition with the logo on the side) and was Burgundy.

Now I build custom stainless steel exhausts all day long so naturally I thought I might get an idea of the engine from looking at that... and as we were both flat out, the night sky was illuminated by BLUE flames coming out of his exhaust!!!?!?!?! Nitro!??

Someone here must know it!

What car do you have?

Could have been an engine conversion car or something.

sounds like a standard 850 to me

i could have been a turbo'd and NOS mini? or a bike engine conversion?

there are a few mini 30's on the 16v mini site honda conversions i believe.. i dont know of any mini 30 turbos.. but a well spec'd one could see off most high powered cars.

Im going to guess at an engine conversion tho - the turbo guys tend to run out of puff after 120 / 130 mph. (on the track of course)

There is a zcars mini 30 from Scotland, Honda K20A2 1998cc engine putting out 232.7bhp to the rear wheels.

I only know this becuase its in an old miniworld I am reading, its not mine

What did the engine sound like? only 3 types it could have been - A series, Vtec OR busa/r1....these 3 engines are easy to define by their sound so give us a clue or what you think it could have been. - here are some fast mini's listed with NO2,engine conversions etc http://www.16vminicl...ead.php?t=17925
