Yesterday afternoon, I decided that the grass needed cutting. In fact, it was so long that I had to shoo out the snakes that had taken up residence in the back! :) I get the Flymo out, and as it says to keep pets indoors Alfie the Cat gets the door closed in front of his whiskers, only for him to look up at me with a questioning meow as to why he's not allowed back outside on such a gorgeous day.

1hr later, I'm all done with only minor fang bites and kitty is allowed back out again. Normally he goes and comes back at about 22.40 at night for a munch on his dry food and he's then in for the night.

Except last night, he didn't. :o

This is the 1st time that he's been away for so long. I so hope he's not trapped somewhere and can't get away, or worse... :dontgetit:

Cue standard kitty pics...!

Aww poor kitty! I hope he comes home soon! I notice he's wearing a collar, does it have your details on?

I'd do a scout round of the surrounding area, in case he's trapped somewhere; ours got locked in next door's garage overnight once, we wre worried sick until he realised and let her out

Hope he returns soon.
If he's anything like my Marilyn was, then he'll be back happy-as-Larry-the-sandboy smelling of either dog :o or other people's perfume :) .

Handsome puss! Its worth calling your local vets to see if they've had one handed in to his description, they'll usually take his details (and yours) in case he turns up.

Hope he re-appears soon :)

You would replace your cat that soon with a look alike?

He will be back, just being a bit of a *woman of ill repute* like all cats are. Well apart from mine as he's blind.

Have you had any luck yet?

I have four cats and they do wander for the odd night its terrible waiting n wondering.

Have you contacted the cats protection or missing pets bureau they keep a list of missing and found pets!

Well, it's 4-days down since he went for a wander, but still nothing. The only bit of 'news' that we got was that when we were in bed, something had come in through the living room window and eaten the dry food that we put down for Alfie! Which also happened inbetween me going out to work and the missus coming back, the same day! Could it be our kitty? We didn't know, so I went and did something a touch 'extreme'.

I installed some software for the laptop and turned it into a motion sensing surveillance system to see who *was* eating the food!

That turned out to be false hope, as the day after I set this up I happened to be geeking on the 360 when a furry shadow appeared behind the curtain - but it was a cat that had made friends with Alfie. I almost thought he had come back. :D

flamecar - we've called the local vets and they now have his details on the Lost & Found list, so if he does turn up they'll be able to reunite us with him. At the moment he's not been handed in.

To everyone that's said he'll be back soon, thanks for all your well wishes! And I'm sure that he'll come back soon, looking a bit thin and bedraggled but meowing for some food! :techsupport:

Only 14-months or so, but we got him after he was just 8-weeks old! So we're kind of attached to him!
