the charger literally sits onto a manifold. best way of picturing it is to imagine an mpi manifold without the throttle body sat on it... then you run the belt of a special crank pulley.. or if u have an mpi engine u just get a longer belt.

Bingley hall was a good show today... bit gutted tho as it was meant to be bigger than last year but infact was probably abit smaller if anythin.. got there nice and early first in que so that was good. got a few bargains for the racer tho. got a 286 cam, brand new bottom pins, rear subframe bushes in yellow (hard to find now).lol set of door hinges and a set of those nice new alloy billet rear subframe mounts and i tell ya.. holding one old one and all 4 of the new ones and there the same weight.lol fantastic!

Car is looking good, had a quick question for you, is it my eyes or were the sportspack arches trimmed on the front? Just curious, and good luck with the supercharger, thats hopefully where mine will be headed next summer.

Yea I was asking about the red mini with the sportspacks. In the picture, I guess it's just the reflection on the arch that makes it look like it was trimmed. Only reason I was asking was because of the thread I started last week on trying to get the wheels to clear them. Cheers.

Hi there i thought id start a new post on here as me and my brother are building our next mini. We built George (my old Mini) and it was a feature car in mini world and this time we have set a challenge to build a retro looking racer for the 50th anniversary of the mini at IMM. so finger crossed.. there will be lots of pictures shortly but heres my old mini and sum new pics for you.. enjoy!!!

Also we are the first people to buy a set of Huddersfield Group 4 arches so this car willl defo be the first in a few things.

Love this mini mate, its the first time I have seen these pics I looked on your previous thread about this build but it looks like the pics have been removed, any chance of updating the thread with the pics ?

Got it back on the road two weeks ago and gave it a good drive out to worcester and birmingham, managed to split and shear a wheel nut bolt, just been to a friends to replace the stud, change the wheelbearings and its worked a treat :(

Theres a few videos of it on my project log page in my sig :) /shameless plug.

oh rite sorry. no george had standard sportspacks on. the way i got them to clear the arch at the front was to adjust my adjustable tie bars, i.e make them longer which in turn pushes the wheel back.
