Hi, I am looking to get some new wheels for my 1972 mini rebuild. I am looking at the new reproduction cooper s steel rims from minisport but they are 4.5 wide. My concern is that these will be too wide and stick out meaning I would have to have wheel arch extensions fitted, which i don't want. Is this a potential problem? Do I need to fit 3.5 wide wheels to avoid this? Thanks, Luke

The 4.5" wide cooper S steel wheels were built with an offset that enables you to fit them under the arches using disc brakes ,...The Minisport alloy copies are exactly the same.... They will fit.

In addition to this, Minilife make minilight replicas that also fit underneath the arches. These are also 4.5" and have the correct offset.

Do a search,.. there's loads and loads of threads about the same thing already
