I am trying to convert my 1962 mini k1 to disc brakes using the canny trick of fiesta calipers etc. I have fiesta hoses which obviously fit the new discs but won't fit the hose on a mini from that year. I have been told the thread on the mini is imperial... what size is that? Is it just standard can you get other sizes of imperial. Am a little confused lol. I need to make an adapter and need to know exact sizes to tell the person who is making it. This is my first mini and i'm collecting the parts needed to do this conversion over in france where my dad is going to fit it.

If anyone could explain the sizing to me it would really help!

Imperial unions are 3/8 unf, metric are usually M10x1 sometimes M12x1. You may find it's better to move the pipe unions if the Fiesta hose is a different length anyway. No brake plumbing on the subframe means one less thing to tackle if you want to drop the frame out :D
