I everyone bit of long shot i know but does anybody have a Payen AF460 head gasket in front of them that they can have a look at for me?

Reason id ive just recieved a head gasket kit from Moss it is supposed to have a Payen AF460 included.

Hoever they gasket included doesnt look like any Payen AF460 ive ever seen. Firstly its silver on both sides and one side even looks like the silver has been sprayed on? Secondly its just in a clear plastic pack not in a proper Payen labelled and marked up pack. Thirdly i cant see and copper in it all normally you look at the small holes and they have a copper ring around them but this one doesnt appear to?

I think its a cheap copy that they have accidentally put in or hoped that i wouldnt notice.

Finally it doesnt even say 'Front' on it which i know is nothing special but the last Payen AF460 i had did?

Only marking on the back is 6-2007F

If you need pics i can easily get some and put them up?

Payens are black, you have a standard rubbish HG.

Hmm well mines definatly silver coloured both sides could really do with a pic of one i think to see if it matches mine?

AF460 or BK450 have the part number stamped into them

If its silver both sides, its not an AF460.

the AF460 is silver on the back and copper on the top, they dont do it any other way, should come in a blue and white stripey cardboard backed packet.

Phone up, complain, send it back and buy from MiniSpares

Thx Sprocket usually get my stuff from Minispares and Moss and to be fair ive had great service from both this is the first issue ive ever had with anything from Moss. Went with moss this time cause i needed to make sure i had it by the weekend doh

Yeah Alex i know they are far from rubbish they are awesome which is why i ordered the kit with it in but it would appear it had the wrong head gasket in the kit! Will ring them tomorrow and sort it out!

Just a quick update on this!!!

Contacted Moss today and he confirmed that it was not just my set all their sets had the wrong head gaskets in!

Jeff at Moss is sending me out a Payen AF460 today, no charge and told me not to worry about returning the old one.



I would just like to say that everybody moans about companies they have had bad experiences with but you dont hear many of the good stories.

I have dealt with Moss many times and indeed have always recieved outstanding service from them. In fact this is the first problem i have ever had and as you can see it has been sorted out swiftly and with no cost to myself.

Double infact i placed my order at 13.45 on wednesday and recieved my tracking number at 17.06 the same day!!!!!!

Congradulations to Moss for outstanding customer service!!!
