I have a Mini city E which is being restored atm, but im restoring it to just a straight mini with a white roof no badges on it n e where. i woundered if then it is still a city E?

To any person seeing it would just call it a mini and not know the model? and would this affect the V5?

it would still be a city e although you may have to notify DVLA of any colour changes.

On paper it will always be a city E! Mine's a designer it doesn't look like a designer any more, It doesn't have any of the badges or original trim (they're hidden away) but on paper it is still a designer.

Yep, still a Mini City E. It's just like we don't call those MR2 with F40 bodykits Ferraris! :D

Don't worry what the paperwork says, because at the end of the day it's a Mini made between 1959-2000 just like all the others.

And a City E isn't anything to be embarrassed about, because many a limited edition was based on it.
