I've already got the connection set up on the computer and I tried getting it to work with that but when I do the whole tools and connections thing, I try and set up a completely new connection and it just gives me some error message with loads of letters and numbers in itI tried that but it just kept mucking me aroundI might be wrong so if i am sorry if i am but go into IE and then go tools and then connections. Try and set up the connection through there to the network and hopfully this will work.

is the connection wired or wireless? and do you get a good connection to the network?
if you goto start > run, type in cmd and hit ok, then in the box that appears type in ipconfig. do you get an ip address?
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
who is your internet provider?

Try this: Go Start - Run and type CMD, then enter.
In the black command window, type ping bbc.co.uk (and enter)
If you get a message saying request timed out, or could not be found, try typing ping 212.58.224.131 (and enter)
If you now get a reply from the site it's a DNS problem - post back and I'll suggest a workround.
If you still don't get a reply, it's a connection issue. Do the IPCONFIG thing on one of the other computers and note the IP address, then try to ping that from your computer - hopefully you get a reply from it (if not we have a problem Houston!).
Post back when you've tried these.
