me and my dad are getting close to sending the midas off for paint, after some interior pre-fitting, but we cant decide on colour, I just spotted an ace clubman in orange, and would like someone to change the midas from white to the orange in this link -http://www.theminiforum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=96465.

Is it a new build or a refurb jobbie?

I've seen one in black that looked pants 'n mine was burgundy, which wasn't too hot either. Lighter and reflective colours work better as they're so dinky IMHO.

The car is a Midas bronze that was produced in the early eighties, that someone finished and then it just passed hands for a while until my dad got it on ebay, the car was fully stripped back down to the tub and then stone chipped underneath, skid pads fitted at bottom of bulkhead, powder coated subframes and beam axle and then rebuilt to the stage you see it at now.

Cant wait to get it to paint and fit the 1330 in it. Should be an impressively quick car.

My dad is very keen on MG trophy Blue, or Ford Imperial Blue, a dark metallic, could someone try that color so I can change his mind to go with a brighter color.

Same colour as the focus RS'

Hi mate, nice mk2 bronze. I had one until about 6 weeks ago. If you need any spares for it let me know:

i have:

Fuel tank with new sender fitted
All the glass (front and rear screens, and quarters) front screen is new as is the rear.
Rear screen lock and handle
rear screen gas rams
rear lights
rear screen hindges
Rear coilover shocks (only done 40 miles)
both doors (complete)
Full wireing loom
dash cluster

and some odds and sods
