Hello all, ok here is my project topic

After a lot of searching, found this layland 1977 mini with a 998 engine. bought it for 650 pounds. Most of the parts are original, exept front seats and the gearknob

I am planning to make something different , not back to classic style.
For now i will install some tuning kits on my engine, and later i may get a new one or turbo it :w00t:

Anyway, here are some pics when i got it home..

Already stripped it down. Fortunatetly rust is hard to find on this mini
undersealed & painted the engine bay, inside and under the car. Now waiting for the Spax kit to arrive and the engine to be painted so i can fit them all, and get a professional to paint the rest of the car

more pics soon

i was working for 3 summers when school was closed to have some money for a mini. now i have the mini and spend all of these  and my dad helps too.

its easy when ordering from england (minispares-minisport etc.). in cyprus is VERY difficult to find mini parts, or generally classic cars parts :D (and i spend so much money on shipping unfortunatetly)

Ah that'd be annoying

I think you're going down the same road as me? Retro styled but something a little fancy fancy under the bonnet, although I'd be going really low and wide on 10" wheels.

What about Rolling Roads? best to get her tuned up after you fit that stage 1 kit!

i am going for a racing/beast look and style ( you know bodykit, 13" wheels etc etc but not something TOO MUCH)

yeah i have a garage in mind to go for a rolling road after stage 1 is fitted. Engine will be ready tomorow or after 2 days. So i can fit them and after christmas i will hopefully run it again
