1)spend a hugeamount of money and time upgrading the whole roatiting assembly and valve train to handle higher revs, which will still "Scream"
2) get a Differential with a higher ratio.
3) spend a couple of Gs on a 5 speed box.

ike has been said, a RR tune up session will do it good. if you want more power after that fit a stage 3 polished and ported head (can go for the cheaper stage 1...but better spending that bit extra imo), LCB manifold and a 2" bore exhaust (gives good breathing but doesn't sound chavvy). also cut holes in the bottom of ur air filter to let more air in, maybe some high rise rockers and a good cam...swiftune sw5-07? its apparently very good.
lots can be done

There are three ways to increase top speed.
1)spend a hugeamount of money and time upgrading the whole roatiting assembly and valve train to handle higher revs, which will still "Scream"
2) get a Differential with a higher ratio.
3) spend a couple of Gs on a 5 speed box.

Buy a car that really is designed to go that kind of speed
but
please ensure you live nowhere near me or drive anywhere near me or my family as you clearly shouldn't be allowed to drive. You buy a car & within minutes & no knowledge of it's true condition take it up to speeds beyond the limit on any UK road totally irresponsible, not that you will care. Oh make my day tell me I'm wrong & you had a full mechanical inspection & it was on a private road.

Come on alan. Where an earths the fun in that? Not all of us own huge estates with miles of private road for testing out freshly bought cars. All the guy was trying to do was find out how well the car performs. It may be dangerous but we all have to have a little fun and excitement in our lives

dont lower the tone...try to tell me seriously you've not done 80 on a motorway? as soon as i read ''80'' i thought...here we bloody go again...who will be first road angel to complain. chill out, thats the police's job...not yours. and to be honest if they pulled onto the motorway with someone in a mini doing 80mph, they'd drive straight past it and go after the beamer on the outside lane doing 120mph. oh, and he could alwas be referring to 80Kmh!
you've also just presumed he has no knowledge of cars what so ever. dont you think if something was going to be a major problem at 80, it would be noticeable at 70? plus, how do you know its within minutes?...we can all be pernicity and precautious, although it tends to get on peoples tits.
