hi guys, I bought this car last april and havent really done all that much with it....
its a 1964/5 mk1 with various changes, the guy i bought it off was a bodger, so problems at every turn.

it is belived it started out a 1100 auto, then had a 998 cooper engine+box dropped in. I have the original number plate E0J 910C but it doesn't have a v5... I have great plans for this but being 17 restricts me in time and money!

since having the car I have put some badges on, got some temporary seats, given it a general clean out, changed the wheels, changed the cv joints put a cooper s disc set up on , changed the master cylinder, oil filter, replace window runners, etc...

really there is very little to do to the car, but with very little knowledge it makes things difficult.

it wasn't cheap, i feel in the haste of ebay i got a little over excited and bid £2300.

the body is in from what i can see very good condition which is a plus but still fo a car with no v5, as i found to my expense later is not cheap! haha

You must be pretty sorted if you can afford to pay that for a car at 17 :L

It could be the wrong one - there are two different lengths.
If I remember correctly the one for the auto was 1/2" longer.

right today we whacked out the hammeright - lots of things were painted..., it looks a little better if im honest. I refitted the clutch master cylinder, one question, when refitting the oil filter, being new shall i fill th bowl with oil and put it on? or can i put it on and let the oil bleed through?
